6 Influential Women Of The World

As an influencer one of the things I want to do the most is empower women and young girls whenever l can. I think it’s important that our young women find and have mentors or someone they can look up to.  Someone that will have a positive impact on their lives.  This is so as well for older women too!  So I decided to highlight a few women this week who have impacted the world as a whole.  I didn’t list the obvious, and I must say there are a numerous amount of women who have done well and have made a significant contribution to the world.  I will share with you a few.  

Malala Yousafzai  Ms. Yousafzai is a female Pakistani Activist known for her advocacy of human rights and education for women and children in the Northwest Pakistan.  She is the youngest person to become a Nobel Laureate.

Emma Gonzalez Ms. Gonzalez is a survivor of the 2018 high school shooting on Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in February 2018.  She has become a huge American Activist and advocate for Gun Control.

Wangari Maathai Ms. Maathai was a Kenyan Environmental Political Activist.  She was from Kenya, but educated in the U.S.  She was also a Nobel Laureate of 2004.  Maathai died in 2011 having obtained  several Educational Degrees.

Tarana Burke Ms. Burke is an African American Civil Rights Activist who started the ME Too Movement. She is from Brooklyn, New York, and heads up the Girls For Gender Equity organization.

Ashley Graham Ms. Graham is a Full Figured American Model, and Body Activist.  She has appeared on many magazines such as, Vogue, Elle, and Glamour.  She has been a judge on the popular television show America’s Next Top Model.  She continues to be an advocate for Body Positivity.

Emma Watson Ms. Watson is known as the famous character Hermione Granger on the movie Harry Potter.  But she’s also a model and British Activist.  She has modeled for Burberry and Lancome.  In 2014, she was appointed as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.  She also has helped launch the HeForShe Campaign to advocate gender equality.

I love facts, but what I love  more is seeing how many women have had such a powerful and positive impact on the World and not just their countries.  I will try to bring you more facts about Women Influencers, because there are so many more that have not been named or recognized!
